The title says it all. Why am I blogging? With a gazillion blogs, major media outlets, and selected know-it-alls, all competing in cyber-land for a minute of your time, do I really have anything to contribute? Maybe, maybe not, but I think I may.
What I do know for certain is that I am often frustrated with the information available from mainstream outlets, and that I have recently have found that a lot of bloggers are more on the ball than their so-called professional counterparts. How this came to be, I cannot say. Perhaps professionals have their hands tied by editorial constraints. Maybe they are bound by advertisers. Or maybe they are genuinely slaves to political correctness in the political sphere, and brand loyalty in the technical world. Whatever the case, they are disappointing me and I'm finding what I really need in the blog-sphere.
Maybe, just maybe, I myself might write something here that someone will find useful, that they couldn't find anywhere else. Maybe I will put something in perspective for someone that the professionals failed to do. Or quite possibly I'll just make a reader or two laugh at either my stunning wit, or my own stupidity. Whatever the case may be, I'd love to hear from you.
